Be excellent to each other.I am planning to go to the universal orlando and adventure park this Thanksgiving. I purchased the express plus for one day and the unlimited pass for the two parks for severn days. I want to use the express plus with the most popular rides/shows within a day and spend another day with the others.
Now I need the information about the most popular shows/rides. Anyone who have been to orlando universal/adverture, please give some suggestions.

At Universal Studios the best rides are The Simpsons, Men In Black, Rip Rocket Roller Coaster and The Mummy. At Islands of Adventure the best rides are The Hulk, Spiderman and Dueling Dragons- make sure you go on both as they are totally different roller coasters. If it’s hot out Popeye and Dudley Do Right are great water rides to cool off.

I am 50, and doing my first adventure race, it is mtn biking, trail running and kayaking. They do not supply anything, so I need to pack and carry all my food/water. What would be the smartest and easiest snacks that would get me through? It will probably be about 6 hours.
Beer.
You can hook onto some fish while you kayak, and you can probably run down a squirrel or a rabbit while you’re on the bike….but beer doesn’t grow wild anywhere!

ok, really. Fuel up for a few days before the race with plenty of veggies, good carbs, and protein. Fish, pastas, potatoes, hummus, squash….whatever healthy food you like. If your body isn’t happy with stored energy and vitamins before the race, it’ll be much harder to push and recover during it…..in that case, people resort to power gels and drinks that give quick simple carbs for energy. It works, but for lots of people it puts them into a high-low sequence and their performance suffers.
Hydration will be really important for you, so wear a camelbak if you want, but make sure to drink frequently. Bring along some good snacks that are easily digestible and won’t burn up right away. Clif Bars are pretty good, and some brands of gels are better than others with more complex carbs in them. If you have space and the time to eat them, good old peanut butter sandwiches are great energy. When I used to ride road bikes for longer distances I liked a spread made of peanut butter, honey, bananas, and some whey protein or sesame seeds in it. If you like molasses, it’s a powerhouse, too. Apples, pears, strawberries, and dried dates are also great sources. Just try to put something better in you than simple refined sugars, and keep in mind that heavy protein like dairy or meats will take blood to digest and your muscles will suffer in the meantime.
